An identity exploration course designed to help students build self-worth, empathy, and a deeper sense of internal belonging. Through a blend of storytelling, guided reflection, and expressive arts, students will explore the many layers of who they are—celebrating their unique qualities while also honoring their roots, culture, and community.

Each week centers on a specific theme—from family and ancestry to dreams, values, and personal strengths—inviting students to reflect on the people, places, and moments that shape them. Using picture book read-alouds, journaling, and hands-on creative projects, students will practice sharing their voice, expressing their story, and recognizing how identity connects us all.

The course meets twice a week for 60–90 minutes per session and is designed to be developmentally appropriate, emotionally safe, and deeply engaging.

How do we know when something feels right — in our friendships, in our choices, or in the ways we treat the world around us?

In this creative, heart-centered class, students explore what it means to live in “right relationship” with themselves, others, and the world. Through stories, journaling, discussion, and expressive arts, learners will begin forming their inner compass — a sense of integrity guided by self-awareness, empathy, and imagination.

Each week we’ll explore a new kind of relationship — to our body, heart, and mind; to family and friends; to community and Earth; to technology and culture — and reflect on what “right relationship” looks and feels like in each. Students will be encouraged to listen within, express creatively, and discover what helps them feel connected, balanced, and true to themselves.

The course meets twice a week for 60–90 minutes per session.

A creative, student-led learning journey that integrates project-based learning, emotional exploration, and self-discovery.

Designed as a follow-up to Who I Am or Right Relationship, this series invites students to choose a theme they explored in those courses and dive deeper through a creative medium—such as visual art, songwriting or musical composition, podcast interviews, zines, video skits, and more.

Students will receive guidance in project ideation, planning, and execution as they bring a personally meaningful topic to life. Through this journey, they develop self-awareness, confidence, and a deeper connection to their voice, creativity, and community.

This curriculum is designed to be flexible while maintaining a strong, supportive structure.

Circles typically run 12–16 sessions and can be adapted to include one or two weekly sessions, each lasting 60–90 minutes.

A Modular, Flexible Learning Journey

This class series is designed to be modular and customizable, offering schools and organizations the flexibility to choose the path that best fits their students’ needs.

Who I Am and Right Relationship can be taught independently as standalone courses, or they can be offered together as a complementary pair, forming a cohesive foundation in identity, emotional literacy, and relational well-being.

For programs seeking a deeper, project-based extension, the Mindful-Hearts Curriculum Circle can follow either course—or both—allowing students to carry a theme forward into a meaningful, creative project of their choice.

When combined, these offerings create a year-long learning journey, meeting twice per week, that supports students in exploring who they are, how they relate to others, and how they express their voice in the world.
