Participant Agreement & Terms — Cohort 1

Effective date: [DATE]

Do Something Different: A Relationship Lab (“DSD”) is a 12-week educational and experiential group program facilitated by Bowie Rowan and Halley Miglietta.

By enrolling in DSD, accepting these terms, and submitting payment, you agree to the following.

1. The Program

DSD is designed to create a space for learning, reflection, experimentation, and practice around how we relate to ourselves and others.

The 12-week program includes approximately six 90-minute live virtual group sessions, asynchronous activities and discussion between sessions, and educational materials and practices related to relationships, communication, self-awareness, boundaries, creativity, and personal development.

Specific activities or materials may change as the program develops and in response to the needs of the cohort.

2. Scope of DSD

DSD is an educational, experiential, and facilitated personal-development program.

It is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental-health treatment, medical care, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or a substitute for services provided by a licensed healthcare or mental-health professional. Participation does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, physician-patient, or other healthcare-provider relationship with either facilitator.

The facilitators do not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions through DSD.

DSD is also not designed to provide crisis intervention or specialized support for situations involving abuse, domestic violence, suicidal crisis, imminent danger, or other circumstances requiring professional or emergency intervention.

If something arises that is outside the scope of DSD, the facilitators may pause or redirect a conversation and encourage a participant to seek support from an appropriate professional or service.

3. Your Participation

DSD invites participants to reflect on their experiences and experiment with different ways of relating, communicating, making choices, and setting boundaries.

You remain responsible for deciding what you share, which practices you participate in, and what actions you take in your life and relationships.

Relationship-focused conversations can sometimes bring up difficult emotions, memories, disagreements, or unexpected reactions. Participation in DSD does not guarantee any particular personal, emotional, or relational outcome.

You may decline to participate in a particular exercise or discussion.

4. Privacy and Group Agreements

Participants may hear personal or sensitive information about other members of the group.

By participating in DSD, you agree to respect other participants' privacy and not share their personal stories, identifying information, screenshots, posts, or disclosures outside the group without their permission.

The facilitators will also treat participant information with care and discretion.

Because this is a group program, however, the facilitators cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Please use your own judgment when deciding what you share.

Participants may not record, photograph, screenshot, or independently transcribe live group sessions or another participant's contributions without explicit permission.

5. Community Conduct

DSD is intended to support thoughtful exploration, disagreement, experimentation, and conversation while respecting the dignity and autonomy of everyone participating.

Participants agree not to engage in harassment, threats, discriminatory conduct, intentional violations of another participant's privacy, or behavior that substantially interferes with the group's ability to participate.

The facilitators may redirect conversations, establish additional community agreements, or limit or end someone's participation when reasonably necessary to maintain the integrity and functioning of the group.

6. Program Materials and Creative Work

Original DSD materials—including exercises, prompts, frameworks, worksheets, recordings created specifically as program materials, and other facilitator-created content—are provided for participants' personal use.

Participants may not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, or commercially teach DSD materials without permission.

Participants retain ownership of their own original writing, artwork, ideas, and other creative work shared within the program.

Live group sessions will not be recorded by DSD.

7. Payment

The total fee for Cohort 1 is $279 USD.

Participants may pay either:

$279 in full, or
3 monthly installments of $93.

The installment option is a payment plan for the full $279 program fee, not a month-to-month membership. By selecting the payment plan, you agree to make all three payments.

If an installment fails, you agree to provide an updated payment method and complete the remaining balance.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Because DSD is a small-group cohort with limited enrollment, payments are nonrefundable once the program begins.

If you need to withdraw before the first live session, contact us at [EMAIL ADDRESS].

Missing sessions or deciding to discontinue participation after the program begins does not cancel remaining installments under a payment plan.

If DSD cancels the program and cannot provide the program you purchased, you will receive a refund for any portion of the program that was not provided.

One decision for you + Halley: I'd decide whether someone who withdraws before Session 1 receives a full refund automatically. I actually lean toward yes for this first cohort. If so, we can make this much cleaner: “You may withdraw for a full refund any time before the first live session. Once the program begins, payments are nonrefundable.”

9. Attendance and Scheduling

Because DSD is a group program, missed live sessions generally cannot be rescheduled individually.

The facilitators may make reasonable changes to dates, activities, materials, technology platforms, or program structure when necessary. Participants will be notified of significant scheduling changes.

10. Ending Participation

The facilitators may end a participant's participation if their conduct seriously or repeatedly violates these terms or the group's community agreements, creates a significant safety concern, or substantially disrupts the functioning of the group.

If this occurs, the facilitators will communicate directly with the participant about the decision and any remaining payment or refund considerations.

11. Acknowledgment

By checking the box indicating acceptance of these terms during checkout and submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Participant Agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.
